We are presenting Handel’s beloved oratorio Messiah in collaboration with the Vivace Chorale. Handel’s Messiah, often played ahead of Christmas, was actually written for Easter. This is an opportunity to hear it as intended, uncut!
In September 1741, George Frederick Handel sat down to begin work on a new composition. Just 24 days later, he had finished what some consider the greatest musical work of all time. Hear the Vivace Chorale and the Kamloops Brandenburg Orchestra bring the work to life. Voice is given to verse by soloists Rachel Casponi (Soprano), Ingrid Mapson (Alto), Rod Simmons (Tenor), and Andrew Greenwood (Baritone). The venue of Oasis Church supports this production beautifully with enviable acoustics and comfortable amenities.
Seating is not assigned. Doors will open at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start. Advanced sales are through Eventbrite until Saturday April 25 4:00 pm, and if there is room tickets will be available at the door. Get yours now to assure a spot!
