This energetic concert will spark Spring 2022 with Baroque music featuring works by Vivaldi, Mozart and Bologne.
Vienna and Paris were home to Baroque and Classical genius. This concert showcases a classical guitar concerto (Vivaldi), concerto for two trumpets (Vivaldi), Eine Kleine Nachtmusik for strings (Mozart), and a symphony by Bologne. Joseph Bologne, a contemporary of Mozart was the first famous black composer in Europe and accomplished in athletics, military training, musical performance and composition. The concert will reflect these different styles and be heard in the wonderful acoustics of the St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral.
